The First Ever American Heavy Metal Awards Show-Golden Gods Awards!

Nuclear Blast Records (among many others) will be teaming up with Revolver Magazine to present the premiere hard rock and heavy metal awards show, the first annual Epiphone Revolver Golden Gods Awards, which will storm through Los Angeles’ Club Nokia on Tuesday, April 7.

The event will feature
Ozzy Osbourne, Killswitch Engage, Tool vocalist Maynard James Keenan and more, and will be aired on MTV2 as a one-hour special on Saturday, May 2.

"We’re working really hard to make this an event worthy of the music it celebrates," Revolver editor in chief Tom Beaujour tells HeadbangersBlog.com. "Metal deserves this and deserves to have it done f—ing right."

Heavy metal comedian Brian Posehn (”The Sarah Silverman Program”) will host the Golden Gods Awards, and performers will include Killswitch Engage, Hatebreed, All That Remains, Suicide Silence and a special guest that we’ll announce soon.

A lifetime achievement award will be presented to metal legend Ozzy Osbourne, and special appearances will be made by Motorhead frontman Lemmy Kilmister, Glenn Danzig, Keenan, Testament vocalist Chuck Billy and guitarist Eric Peterson, Protest the Hero, Bleeding Through keyboardist Marta Peterson, Isis, Dethklok creator Brendon Small, WWE wrestler CM Punk.

On April 25, MTV2 will air a one-hour Epiphone Revolver Golden Gods Awards nominee special. And the week of the big show, MTV2 will air a special one-hour daily episode of “Headbangers Ball” hosted by Jose Mangin of Sirius Radio.

A limited number of tickets will be available to the public for the April 7 Epiphone Revolver Golden Gods Awards, beginning Friday, February 20 at 10 a.m. Pacific Time at all Ticketmaster locations and the Club Nokia box.

General admission tickets are $35.00 and VIP tickets are $75.00.
