Hello friends and welcome to this Tuesday edition of This Day In Rock. Christmas is a week away so I figured what the heck and the hubby & I finished the shopping yesterday. It shall be a good Christmas in our house!
now lets take that walk down musical memory lane.

On this day on 1967 The Beatles magical Mystery Tour Goes gold.


"The Most Beautiful Girl" goes #1 for Charlie Rich in 1973.

In 1973 Aerosmith Performs On American Bandstand. The song they Performed was "Dream On".

On this day in 1979 Pink Floyd Went #1 in the UK with "Another Brick In The Wall" . It would remain it that position for 5 weeks.

In 1989 Billy Joel Went #1 with his album "Stormfront" The album contained the single "We Didn't Start The Fire" Which was played in many classrooms across the nation because of its historical content.

Rod Stewart and Rachael Hunter are married on this day in 1990. Unfortunately as with most celebrity marriages they would divorce 9 years later.

On This day in 2001 Ohio's Kent State University gave Joe Walsh of the Eagles an Honorary Doctorate Of Music.
