On this day in 1961 The Cashbox Magazine best seller chart lists "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" by The Tokens as #1.
On this day in 1962 The Ed Sullivan Show featured The Four Seasons singing "Big Girls Don't Cry"
In 1963 Motown Records released the first Record By The Supremes called "Meet The Supremes"
In 1967 Jim Morrison is arrested onstage in New Haven, Connecticut after telling the audience hed had been Maced earlier by police.
"Seventh Sojourn" goes #1 for the Moody Blues in 1972.
Also in 1972 Elton John Releases "Crocodile Rock" which would end up being his first #1 single.
On this day in 1984 Michael Jackson announced that following the current Jackson's Tour he would Break from the group and become a solo artist.
"We Didn't Start The Fire" Goes #1 for Billy Joel on This day in 1989.
On this day in 2003 Ozzy Osbourne was injured as a result of an ATV accident in which he broke several bones.
