Hello Friends and welcome to this Wednesday edition of This Day In Rock. It's almost Christmas and Ill be celebrating tomorrow & Friday. I promise I will be back on Monday! Lets take that walk down musical memory lane.

In 1957 Pat Boone went #1 with "April Love"

On this day in 1964 Brian Wilson decided it be best if he "retired" from music and quit the Beach Boys when he suffered a nervous breakdown en route to a Houston concert appearance.

In 1968 when Apple Records hosted a Christmas party for the children of their employees and John Lennon and Yoko Ono dressed as Santa and Mrs Claus.

"Ladies Of The Canyon" Goes gold for Joni Mitchell.

On this day in 1977 Cat Stevens announces to the world that He had Converted to the Islam religion and his new name would now be Yuself Islam.

"Do Ya Think I'm Sexy" Is released by Rod Stewart on this day in 1978.

In 1999 George Harrison's Maui Home was broken into. the woman did her laundry cooked a frozen Pizza and called her mother from there. I guess she was there awhile!
