Coldplay accused of Plagiarism

Joe Satriani Accuses Coldplay of Plagiarism

Coldplay is being accused of plagiarism for a second time over their smash hit "Viva La Vida". This time the accuser is the legendary Joe Satriani.  Satriani claims the band plagiarized  "substantial, original portions" of his 2004 song "If I could Fly". Satriani is asking the Federal judge to order an accountant so they can determine the exact amount owed to Satriani. The other option Satriani gives is for the band to quit playing the song all together. This is highly unlikely  considering the hit song is the center of an I-pod commercial and was just nominated for a Grammy award. Satriani filed the suit on Thursday in a LosAngeles federal court.
