Fender Guitar's 50th Anniversary Jazzmaster Giveaway
Guitar History Is Within Your Reach.
Fender Guitars has announced that the are giving away a 50th anniversary Jazzmaster guitar, along with a poster, to one lucky winner in early 2009. This guitar is one of a very limited number of special, commemorative Jazzmasters built specifically for the Jazzmaster 50th anniversary concert and party that was held at the Knitting Factory in New York on September 12, 2008. This guitar was not only at that show, but has been autographed by the event's honored guests such as Thurston Moore and Lee Ranaldo of Sonic Youth, Nels Cline of Wilco, and J Mascis of Dinosaur Jr.
In addition to the inherent coolness of its celebrity status, this rare Jazzmaster sports some beautiful appointments; A body made of Ash, a two-color finish, and black pickup covers, which are all based on the original 1958 prototype's specifications. Features that also make it unique from any Jazzmaster models available today. So, stop by Fender's contest page at: www.fender.com/freestuff/jazzmaster50th/ and sign up for your chance to own this milestone of six-string achievement. Fender has also provided some excellent reading on the history of the Jazzmaster guitar on their site, and I encourage you to take a minute and absorb all you can... Who knows, maybe you'll be the next chapter in Jazzmaster history. -Ryan
