On this day in 1960 Del Shannon records "Runaway". Del Shannon Once said that he wrote this song about himself because he was always running away from relationships he was in.

 

On this day in 1965 The United States Department Of Immigration informed the band The Animals They would have to cancel their appearance at The Apollo Theatre . They did get to perform on Ed Sullivan.

 

The song "Mr Tamborine Man" is Recorded By The Byrds on this day in 1965.

 

On this day in 1966 George Harrison of The Beatles Got married to Patti Boyd. They would later divorce Because George had been unfaithful.

 

On this day in 1984 The band Yes Goes #1 with the song "Owner Of A Lonley Heart".
