  Hello friends and welcome to the first edition of This Day In Rock this year! Its Monday and back to work for some folks and for most kids tomorrow will be back to school after a long Christmas vacation. I hope it was a good time for all! Now lets take that walk down musical memory lane.

On  this day in 1953 The town of Montgomery Alabama is flooded by over twenty thousand people attending Hank Williams Funeral which is held at the City Auditorium.

On this day in 1961 "Teen Angel" By Mark Dinning entered the chart on its way to #1.

On this day in 1974 Marvin Gaye Appears In concert for the first time after a 4 year hiatus.

On this day in 1975 The Elton John version of "Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds" goes #1
