This Day In Rock
Hello friends and welcme to this manic Monday edition of This Day In Rock.I hope your weekend was as awesome as mine was. I got to see Vince Neil solo and i have to say if you EVER get to see him solo with his own band do it. It was an incredible show only 45min long but incredible. I'll post a review later this week in Roadcrew Mag! Now lets take that walk down musical memory lane!
The Coasters recorded their first top ten hit called "searchin" on this day in 1957.
On this day in 1958 Jerry Lee Lewis performs what would end up being his bigggest hit,"Great Balls Of Fire" on American Bandstand.
On this day in 1962 "I Can't Stop Loving You" is recorded by Ray Charles.
On this day in 1969 a woman named Vikki Jones was arrested for impersonating Aretha Franklin in a performance and she performed so well that not asingle person asked for their money back.
On this day in 1975 Linda Ronstadt went #1 ith "Your'e No Good"
On this day in 1988 Def Leppard are forced to cancel a show because they fear their safety. Joe Elliot had made a statement earlier saying Mexico was "The Place with all those greasy Mexicans"
Well friends that is all for today until tomorrow....
