On this day in 1958 a study showed Dick Clarks American Bandstand to be the #1 daytime television show of that time. On this day in 1962 Neil Sedaka lays down the tracks for the song "Breaking Up Is Hard To Do". The song would go on to be his very first #1 hit. in 1964 The Beatles appear on Ed Sullivan for the first time.They performed four of their biggest hits including "I want To Hold Your Hand". On this day in 1972 Paul Mc Cartney & Wings Perform live for the first time. In 1975 Cher goes solo for the first time and on this day her weekly Television show begins.
