Hello friends and welcome to this monster monday edition of This Day In Rock. Another huge snowstorm is making its way through the central US adding to the aggravation of the fact that it is Monday. Lets take our mind off Monday & the weather for a few minutes and take that walk down musical memory lane. On this day in 1959 Johnny Cash appears On Ed Sullivan and Sings "Don't Take Your Guns To Town" In 1960 Bobby Rydell Makes an appearance on the charts with "Wild One" It would eventually make it's way to #2 where it would peak. In 1963 The Four Tops get their big break when Barry Gordy signs them to his Motown record label. On this day in 1965 filming for the movie "Catch Us If You Can" began. It featured The Dave Clark Five But they did not star in the movie although it was about them. On this day in 1975 The Ohio Players top the charts with "Fire" In 1980 David Bowie & his wife get Divorced and David receives custody of their son.
