Australian rockers JET have announced a run of headlining dates with support from The Crash Kings. The North American trek will begin in Toronto, ON on March 5 at The Opera House. In the midst of their third trip around the world to support their new album, Shaka Rock, the band will be performing on Jimmy Kimmel Live! later this month, as well as making a distinguished stop in Vancouver to perform at the 2010 Olympic Winter Games. JET have been invited to perform on Wednesday, February 24 during the two-week long event at the Whistler Medals Plaza, among fourteen other top North American headlining acts such as Usher, OneRepublic, The Fray, The Roots and All American Rejects. The band recently finished an Australian trek with Green Day, in which two of the dates became the #4 and #8 highest grossing concerts in the world according to Billboard’s Boxscore.
 
With more than four-million albums sold worldwide and four Top Ten Modern Rock hits, JET recently returned to form with Shaka Rock, an album that parallels their smash, Get Born which produced hits like “Are You Gonna Be My Girl” and “Cold Hard Bitch.”  The new album closes the gap between the raw roots of Get Born and the grace and melody of Shine On (recorded just after the passing of Nic and Chris Cester’s father), which together went on to make JET an international band of style and substance.  Shaka Rock captures the charisma and energy of classic rock and roll with just enough punk swagger and contemporary flair to create something uniquely JET.
 
The Crash Kings deliver a unique brand of keyboard infused power-trio rock that creates a "big sound without guitar."  That sound is a hit at radio as their single "Mountain Man" off their self-titled debut is quickly climbing up the charts and making an impact with fans at their live appearances.  Fronted by brothers Antonio (vocals / Clavinet) and Michael Beliveau (Bass), along with Jason Morris' hard-hitting drums, the three musically accomplished members of the Crash Kings have been building a reputation as a must-see live act, quickly becoming renowned for their energetic and impassioned performances.
