The Fifth Dimension are awarded their second gold record in 1968.
In 1969 The worldwide media runs rampant with false reports that That Paul McCartney is dead and that a double had been filling in for him! The whole charade is ended when a reporter contacts McCartney at his home confirming he is indeed alive.
On this day in 1997 Fleetwood Mac begin a successful Reunion tour.
