On this day in 1955 Bill Hayley & The Comets turned down an Australian tour due to a really bad fear of flying.
In 1966 Donavan went #1 with " Sunshine Superman".This song would be his only single that would make it to #1 in the U.S.
On this day in 1970 The Dave Clark Five Announce they are breaking up.
Fast forward to 1982 Apple Computer founder and Dancing With The Stars Celebrity Steve Wozniak Sponsored a three day music festival that brought in over 10 million dollars.The Festival had some of the biggest music names of the day.
On this day in 1991 Ike Turner Was released from prison after serving only 18 months of a four year sentence.
In 2005 Fats Domino had to be rescued on this day from His rooftop after choosing to stay in his home during Hurricane Katrina. He had been Reported missing and was originally feared dead.
