Hello friends and welcome to This Day In Rock. I apologize for any spelling or punctuation errors in advance.I have the worst head cold ever and I am so stuffed up I can barely see or think straight! Lets take that walk down musical memory lane.

On This day in 1965 "My Generation" Is recorded by The Who. Pete Townshend wrote this while The Who were on their first tour. In a 1987 Rolling Stone magazine interview, Townshend explained: "'My Generation' was very much about trying to find a place in society. I was very, very lost. The band was young then. It was believed that its career would be incredibly brief."


In 1970 Janis Joplins Ashes are scattered along the coast of California.

Ed Sullivan Passed away on this day in 1974.

"I Just Called To Say I Love You"  by Stevie Wonder went to #1 and would stay there for 3 weeks in 1984.
