This Day In Rock

Hello friends and welcome to This Day In Rock! It Is wacky Wednesday It is also Breast cancer Awareness month So Save the boobies!!! Now lets take that walk down musical memory lane.

On this day in 1964 The Beatles appear on the show Shindig. Their performance had been taped at an earlier date.

In 1967 The Beatles turn down a one Million dollar offer to re-appear at Shea stadium in New York.

In 1968 Game 5 of the world series was about to be played.Jose Feliciano performed what would end up being a controversial version of the Star Spangled Banner. Although by todays standards not a thing is wrong with it many radio stations refused to play his music for years because of it.

On this day in 1971 Motown released Michael Jacksons first Solo Single titled "Got To Be There".

In 1978 The musical guest on Saturday Night Live on NBC was The Rolling Stones. The Band Performed "Beast Of Burden"BTW This of course is not the Saturday NightLive Performance But is the same song!

And finally Today a little bit of proof of how Drugs are bad and make you do stupid things...Try this fact:

In 2005 Singer Boy George (
"Do You Really Want To Hurt Me?"" Karma Chameleon") Called 911 and stated his home had been robbed. When police came to investigate they found that his home had not been robbed and also found cocaine. He ended up being sentenced for filing a false police report and drug possession.

Well Friends that is all for today. Don't forget that it is Breast Cancer Awareness Month so Ladies, Get Em checked!!!!! Until tomorrow....

PEACE!!!!!!
